In the wake of profound loss, we bid farewell to Tony Bernard Johnson, a radiant soul who departed from this world too soon on Sunday, March 17, 2024. His journey was marked by struggle but, he will be remembered not for the difficulties he encountered, but for his larger-than-life personality and his gift for spreading joy wherever he went.
Tony Johnson was born the 8th of 10 children to Voreece and Caleb Johnson in Vallejo, California, on May 27, 1962. A talented baseball player in his youth, anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Tony understood they were in the presence of kindness and humor incarnate. His vibrant energy electrified every room he entered, effortlessly turning frowns into laughter. Moreover, he was a compassionate soul who held a special love for animals and cherished his family dearly.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Rosezetta (Dennis) Johnson, his son Davion Johnson, daughter-in-law Nicole Johnson, and his adopted daughter Brianna McCloud. He is also survived by his three grandsons Dion, Damoni, Jayden, his granddaughter Jeyanna, and his faithful companion, his dog Bentley. Additionally, he is survived by his mother, Voreece (Sparks) Johnson, and seven siblings: Lena Gomez, Barbara Diggs, Davena Williams, Carla Sparks, Eyvette Johnson, Evelyn (Richard) Glenn, and Dave (Andrea) Woodson as well as a sister-in-law, Shelre’y Woodson, brother-in-law Ralph Dennis, mother-in-law Earnestine Dennis, more than 45 nephews and nieces, including Calvin Johnson Jr., whom Tony held close in his heart.
Preceding him in death are his father, Caleb Johnson, along with his brothers Harold Woodson and Calvin Johnson, Sr., as well as his grandson, Dior (twin to Dion).
In closing, Tony's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him. His light touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. May his spirit continue to shine bright in our hearts, offering solace and inspiration in our moment of grief.

Dr. Mylene M. Rucker, MPh, a radiant figure in medicine, education, and community health, has peacefully transitioned from this world, leaving an enduring legacy of compassion, dedication, and service.
Born to Perry Rucker and Thelma Harmon in Chicago on January 20, 1949. Mylene had an extensive educational career that started in southern California and took her all over the world. Embracing Afrocentrism, she studied in Ghana, where she met and married her husband Randy Middleton.
Dr. Mylene Rucker departed on February 20, 2024, just one month after celebrating her 75th birthday. Her impact on countless lives will forever be cherished and remembered. A devoted family physician, she exemplified her belief in equitable and quality patient care by leaving a lucrative healthcare career to establish her own clinic. Prioritizing personalized care, she earned admiration and gratitude from all who sought her assistance. Mylene's commitment to the well-being of her patients defined her professional journey.
After retiring, Mylene moved from the central valley to the Bay Area to be closer to her family. Her dedication to service continued unabated as she actively contributed to the development of Vallejo Project, a community-based initiative dedicated to enriching the lives of Vallejo's youth. Her infectious smile and boundless compassion brought joy to all who crossed her path.
Dr. Mylene Rucker is survived by her two adult children and three sisters.

Ladean Jones was born on November 3, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas to Parents Inez Prat Clark and Oscar Parks.
Ladean, affectionately known as Mother, moved to California in the 60’s where she worked at Kaiser in San Francisco for over 29 years until she retired in the 90’s. She was also was a shop steward for the Teamsters Union.
Mother enjoyed volunteering at her grandkids school and her house was always open to all the kids in the neighborhood. Mother also enjoyed gambling, watching tennis, sledding in the snow and traveling having visited Hawaii, Jamaica and Mexico.
Mother is preceded in death by her Husband Curtis Jones, Daughters Diane and Renee Van Dyke, Sister Eunice Parks Smith, Grandson Dominic Pollard and Great-Great Granddaughter Kaliyah Adkins.
Ladean leaves to cherish precious memories: her brother Ronald Clark; daughter Adena M. Van Dyke sons; Antony Jones and Mike Swinyer grandchildren; Genika Van Dyke, Terrelle Dawson, Janee and Dante Jones, Anthony Jones Jr., Tiera Jones, Tacuma Jones and Teala Jones Great Grandsons; Ramon Adkins, Dai’Monn Stewart, Jr., Sir’ Tony Lathan and Rayjahn Gage; Great Granddaughter Yamaya Gage; Great Great Granddaughter Karalynda Adkins.; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
