Elder David Henry Brock was born on November 8, 1942, in Louisiana. At the age of 15, after enduring hardship at home, he left to begin a new life and chose the name David, symbolizing his new walk with God’s guidance.

In 1970, he received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at Christ Temple Apostolic Church under Pastor A.J. Patterson — a defining moment that set the course of his ministry and his love for preaching and worshiping Jesus.

David married his first wife, Gladys Marie Brock, in 1971 when they eloped to Las Vegas. Together, they co-pastored at the House of True Love, where Gladys served as Pastor and David faithfully as Co-Pastor. Their union lasted for 30 blessed years, from 1973 until her passing in 2001. During this time, Elder Brock helped raise four children with deep devotion and was a steadfast husband and father.

He was also a proud biological father to his son, Robert, whom he loved dearly.

Throughout his career, Elder Brock worked diligently in construction and as an electrician. He was employed by Browns & Root, where his determination led him to return to school to earn his diploma to secure his job. He later attended trade school, earning his electrician’s certification, which brought about promotions and stability for his family. He also worked for Shell Chemical Plant until retirement, when he chose to devote his time and strength to caring for his beloved wife Gladys during her final days.

On August 12, 2025, Elder David Henry Brock peacefully transitioned from this life, proclaiming with his last words: “I’m going home to be with the Lord.”

He leaves behind his loving widow, Verna Brock, his son Robert, the children he helped raise, a host of grandchildren, extended family, church family, and countless souls touched by his ministry, faith, and testimony.

Elder Brock’s legacy is one of perseverance, love, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. His life was a living testimony of God’s grace and mercy.
